hermocom, Hertrich Mobile Computing, is a business founded by Dipl.-Ing. Daniel Hertrich in Germany.

My goal is to provide my customers with mobile computing solutions which really fit their needs. For that purpose, I use PDAs, Smartphones or UMPCs / Netbooks.
Lifting the productivity level e.g. of a PDA to that one of a PC is the most interesting and challenging part of that task.

I also develop software to be used on mobile computers or Smartphones for special purposes. Please contact me if you are interested.

Current projects

  • C-Diary, a diabetes diary application for Symbian Smartphones (e.g. by Nokia, Sony Ericsson or Samsung) with data transfer to SiDiary by SINOVO
  • weeXpc, a Linux-based software system with PC-like features for Sharp Zaurus PDAs
  • Project X (which is not the final project name), a completely new handheld PC/PDA platform with impressive specifications
  • and of course, ongoing support for the HP 200LX Palmtop and the other devices from the HP LX Palmtop line.

That is hermocom's slogan.

hermocom is one of the last few supporters worldwide for the MS-DOS based Hewlett Packard Palmtop HP 200LX. I offer repair and upgrade services and spare parts for the Palmtop models HP 100LX, HP 200LX, HP 1000CX and partially HP 95LX and HP Omnigo 700LX. I also sell palmtops, even with customized configuration.

Also available: A totally productivity-oriented and stable Linux distribution for SHARP Zaurus PDAs, called weeXpc.

The successor of weeXpc is already planned, based on a totally new and innovative handheld platform with incredible performance and very low price. This will be the long-awaited successor for the HP Palmtops and the SHARP Zaurus line of PDAs.

A new field of activity is the development of software for Symbian Smartphones. Currently I am working on a Diabetes diary application, called "C-Diary".
